You may have missed the posting on our WhatsApp group regarding this Fundraising event after Christmas. It's a Squash or Racketball event that will be held from 10am on Tuesday the 28th Dec 2021 (You choose what sport you want to play).
It's £10 per entry and all the money goes to St Catherine's Hospice. The plan is to make it informal and fun and will help to blow off a bit of festive over indulgence, although we do usually end up at the pub!
Many of you will remember that this event has been held for many years just after Christmas. It started out as a memorial to Alan Bainbridge but when we sadly lost Ron Chonacher as well it was decided to make it more general, hence the name change to 'St Catherine's Memorial Cup'.
Many of the Tennis Club members knew both Alan Bainbridge and Ron so Alan Swan is organising things at the Tennis Club so players from there can also take part.
Please let Ian Russell know if you can join the fun and also encourage some of your regular opponents to play as well!
