2022 Summer League Open For Entries

Hello All,

Time to start planning for the summer league handicap squash tournament!

For those not familiar - this tournament is team event designed to maximise participation through the club with player participating from all levels. It is based around 6 teams each with 5-6 players. This will mean that each team plays each other team over a period of 5 weeks . A grand final playoff will then be played at the end of the league period, between the top two teams to find the overall winner and the bottom two teams to award the wooden spoon plus a third and forth place playoff.

The aim is that the all players will participate as evenly as possible, aiming for each player to play 3 matches through the main league period of the competition. Teams deviating from this format will lose points, i.e. for instance

A few points to note for this year :

  • We are not going to be strict on just members entering, so if you have friends and family who want to join in we will try and accomodate.
  • We put on some pizzas for the final last year - seemed popular - so we thought lets do it every week.!
  • I am looking to schedule for Thursday evenings, 21 July to 25th August
  • Registrations via MyCourts for members, e-mail me separately for anyone else. Registration close 19th June

Thanks

Neil
